Grinnell Writing Project

The writings posted here emerged from the Grinnell Writers' Consortium's first public workshop, led by Iowa poet and playwright Mary Swander. Mary asked the participants to interview a person in the room and ask three questions: Do you know the circumstances of your birth? Have you ever had a near death experience? Have you ever been wrongly accused of anything? The interviews led to some dramatic stories, which a few participants performed, and to the short pieces posted here.
